November Means...

Spending Thanksgiving with family...
(and beating them in every game we played)...

Hiking, eating dirt, sucking on rocks, and getting as dusty as possible...

Playing in the fall leaves...

And watching lots and lots of football!

We hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. We sure did! Boston loved playing with his cousin, Dax, and getting lots of loves from Aunt Cassi and Uncle Hansy. The dinner was great, the weather was great, and the whole month couldn't have been better!

1st Haircut

Boston had his 1st haircut this weekend. He was starting to get a fantastic mullet. It's funny how, no matter how scraggly and homeless your child looks prior to that milestone, a momma fights against that day because it's one more step to your baby growing up. As Brick was cutting Boston's hair, he said, "Next thing you know, he'll be heading off to Prom." I may have teared up a little. I may have also slapped him for exploiting my emotions.

No matter how much I want to keep Bos a chubby, cuddly little baby, he really is growing up fast. He is walking almost like a pro these days, and saying all kinds of words, not to mention the constant stream of jibber jabber that comes from whatever corner he's playing in. He LOVES emptying every drawer he can reach, turning off our computer, climbing on things, and going up and down the stairs. My little boy is growing up. *SIGH*
So Handsome!

Who Could Resist This Face?

This look is one I get to see on a regular basis these days. Boston is discovering an exciting world of books, stairs, food, talk, and much more as he masters crawling and gets closer to walking. He loves saying "That!" and pointing, especially to pictures of himself. He also loves giving WET french kisses. In fact, last night we had our friends over, and Harv, who Boston apparently loves, got his entire face soaked with baby kisses. When he would try to stand up, Boston would follow him with mouth open wide. Finally Harv gave in and laid on the floor so Boston could shower him with affection, when suddenly he heard a gurgling sound. He had the good sense to duck his head as Boston came in for another smooch, and lucky he did because instead of slobber he would have gotten a mouth full of throw up. He still got an ear full though.

day 6

From a Low Angle

And now on to bigger and better news...
Our boy is 10 months old!
And he has skills.
Why settle for one thing, when you can have the best of both worlds?

Day 5

From a High Angle

And THIS is what happens when Boston is quiet...
I find him checking out the whole new world that is the bathroom.

"What is THAT BIG PRETTY WHITE THING?" ***
"I'm overcome with the excitement of it all."
"I think I'll check it out..."
"I'm goin' for it!"
"Ooh!"

"When are you gonna stop me, Mom?"

***My toilet was recently cleaned, I promise.

Challenge Day 3

A Picture of Clouds
I admit that I could have been more creative here, but Boston is teething, and that pretty much sums up my day.

SELF PORTRAIT

SELF PORTRAIT
I could have chosen a sexy picture (because I have so, so very many of those).
Instead I chose this one, because it hides my nose. Besides, I wanted to learn how to keep a spoon on my nose, which I've never been able to do. It took a lot of tries, but now I am a master.

I Need an Excuse to Take Interesting Pictures...

I love Boston, and he's very photogenic, but I'm thinking to everyone besides me, his pictures might start to blend together in a very uninteresting way. So I found this challenge, and I'm going to hold myself to it. Wish me luck!

9 Months Old!

In the last month, Boston got his second tooth, swung in a swing for the first time, learned how to clap when you say "YAY!", stand up in his crib, go from his belly to sitting, how to crawl, how to put his binky in himself, give kisses, go up the first few stairs, take steps when you hold on to him, and spit. He also continues to dance when you turn on music, as well as when you give him food. He's eating cheerios, bananas, pasta, and many other things. He is such a happy boy, and loves to cuddle with his mama, and mimic when you shake your head no, clap, and blow strawberries. He loves butterfly and eskimo kisses Everywhere we go, everyone says either, "look at those blue eyes!" or "what chubby legs!"

Summer Nights

Earlier this year Brick discreetly put some tickets on our refrigerator and waited for me to notice them. I obviously am not very observant, because he finally had to tell me he had a surprise for me and I had to look around the house to find out what it was. After a game of "hotter, colder" I finally discovered the surprise: Kenny Chesney concert tickets!

The concert was last Saturday, and it was such a blast hanging out with this hottie! We danced and sang country tunes at the top of our lungs, and since I had never been to a concert before, I had the time of my life. My sweetheart is so good to me!

Billy Currington was the openning act, and he was awesome! He was really great live.

Before Kenny came out, Brick and I made a bet: we picked three of his songs, and the ones that he sang first won. I bet Brick a load of laundry, and he bet me a late night icecream run. I won. What now, Brick? (I'll tell you what, a butt load of laundry for a guy whose name starts with B!)

P.S. Brick got his braces off! Check out this gorgeous smile:

Whoo Whoo! What a hottie!
